Choosing the right hotel can make a big difference to your Berlin experience. Berlin is a large city with several distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a different atmosphere, attractions and advantages.
Unlike many European capitals, Berlin doesn't have just one city centre. From the historic streets of Mitte and the lively atmosphere around Alexanderplatz to the elegant shopping boulevards of City West and the modern surroundings of Potsdamer Platz, there are plenty of great areas to choose from.
I'm Amir, a local tour guide who has been living in Berlin since 2006. I know the city's neighbourhoods well, and I've put together this guide to help you find a hotel that suits your travel style, budget and plans.
Whether you're visiting Berlin for the first time, travelling with family, looking for a luxury stay or searching for a comfortable hotel close to public transport, this guide will help you make the right choice.
